SYGMA LLC is a specialty contractor focused on bridge rehabilitation, protective coatings, surface preparation, and lead-based coating abatement. We work with bridge owners, state agencies, and general contractors on projects that require technical expertise, rigorous safety management, and reliable field execution.
Our work is concentrated in the Northeast, where aging bridge infrastructure requires ongoing rehabilitation and corrosion protection. We bring the field experience and technical knowledge to handle demanding projects on schedule and in compliance with owner and regulatory requirements.

Hristos Daskalakis
Founder, President & CEO
Hristos Daskalakis is the Founder, President, and CEO of SYGMA LLC, bringing over 30 years of hands-on experience in construction management, bridge rehabilitation, protective coatings, and industrial infrastructure. His career spans every level of the industry — from field supervision and project management to Vice President and Senior Executive Officer on some of the most complex and high-value bridge infrastructure projects ever undertaken in the Northeast United States.
Over three decades, Hristos has led or overseen more than $3 billion in documented contract value across landmark structures including the Brooklyn Bridge, the Bayonne Bridge, the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, the RFK Bridge, the Queensboro Bridge, the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, and the NASA Lunar Landing Gantry. His experience encompasses design-build delivery, multi-year rehabilitation programs, lead abatement, environmental compliance, union labor relations, MBE/DBE utilization, and change order negotiation on contracts ranging from $17 million to $1.5 billion.

Hristos holds extensive knowledge of SSPC/NACE coating standards, EPA and DEC environmental compliance requirements, OSHA safety regulations, and the full range of technical specifications governing bridge and industrial protective coating work. His leadership philosophy is straightforward: put the right people on the job, plan the work thoroughly, and deliver what you committed to — every time.
